
THREE coffee flavoured treats to keep you cool
At Henry’s Coffee and Events we love a warm cup of coffee. But when temperatures start rising to a tropical level, it can be difficult to keep enjoying our favourite hot beverage as much as we would like. But do not worry, there are alternative ways to enjoy coffee! In this article we will compile a few delicious cold coffee treats so you can get your coffee fix even when it is thirty degrees outside.
1 – Eiskaffee

The term “eiskaffee,” is the German name for iced coffee. But this delicious treat contains much more than just coffee and ice. Although coffee and vanilla are often the primary flavours, any other toppings can be added to jazz it up. Don’t pass up the chance to go all out if you’re preparing your own; common additions include whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and chocolate shavings.
Ingredients (serves 1):
-1 cup of cold strong brewed coffee
-1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
-Whipped cream
-Chocolate or caramel syrup (optional)
-1 tsp of grated chocolate (optional)
Method
- Drizzle a bit of syrup of choice on the inside of a tall chilled glass
- Add the scoop of ice cream at the end of the glass
- Pour the coffee
- Cover with desired amount of whipped cream
- Drizzle with a bit more of syrup of choice
- Top with grated chocolate and enjoy!
2 – Coffee chia seed pudding

If you are looking for a nice coffee flavoured dessert to eat after a hot day at the beach, a coffee chia seed pudding is exactly what you need. This delicious treat will provide you with the delicious taste of your favourite beverage as well as all the nutritional benefits of chia seeds. So why do without?
Ingredients (serves 2)
-100ml of espresso
-130ml of milk of choice
-10 tbsp of chia seeds
-A few drops of vanilla extract
-A pinch of cinnamon (optional)
-1 tbsp of agave syrup ( maple and golden syrups work as well)
-Any topping you might want. Fruits, chocolate chips, whipped cream, custard,…the world is your oyster!
Method
- Mix all ingredient together in a mixing bowl
- Put mixture in pudding cups and leave to rest in the fridge overnight ( or at least 4 hours if you cannot wait overnight)
- Serve with toppings of your choice and enjoy!
3 – Coffee smoothie

Even in the early hours of the morning temperatures can get quite high, making drinking a hot cup of coffee or just eating a bit difficult. But do not worry, there are solutions. And one of them is opting for a coffee smoothie instead of a typical breakfast before starting your day. This refreshing and nutritious treat will allow you to get all the neutrons that you need as well as the coffee fix that you want.
Ingredients (serves 1)
-230 ml of cold coffee
-1 tbsp of your favourite nut butter
-1 serving of vanilla protein powder
-1 frozen banana
-60ml of milk of choice
-1 teaspoon of cocoa powder
-A handful of ice
Method
- Place all the ingredients in a high power blender until well combined
- Pour in a tall glass and enjoy!
